GRAVITY FILTERS
For customers who do not have a reliable pressurized mains water supply, whether it is at home, on a campsite, or in a holiday cottage, a gravity filter enables you to have clean filtered drinking water on tap. Water is poured manually into the upper chamber. It passes through the filter candles under pressure of gravity into the lower chamber where the filtered water can be accessed via a tap on the front of the filter.

This filter is the old man on the block with a history dating back to the early 1800's. The
British Berkefeld® Emergency and Camping Water Filter system is designed for use in
situations where a reliable supply of treated drinking water is unavailable. Unbelievable as it sounds you can actually pour creek water in this filter and a short time later have clean,
good tasting water. How? The pore structure of the ceramic filters inside is designed to
remove very fine particles and bacteria. Can be used camping, around the house or where
there is no municipally treated water.
The gravity feed system also works when water pressure is too low for other filters.

The “Super Sterasyl” filters used in both systems, reduce up to 99.99%
of particulates, cysts, parasites and pathogenic bacteria including but not limited to
E. Coli, Cryptosporidium, Giardia and Salmonella Typhi. Additionally, these filters
will reduce chlorine, rust, sediment and organic chemicals. With nominal particulate

making this one powerful filter system. The durable ceramic filters can be cleaned
over and over with a soft brush or Scotch Brite pad and the filter media in this
product contains an effective antimicrobial agent. Each filter element will provide
efficient pathogenic filtration up to 2000 gallons depending on water quality.
